Prep your food. Investing 1-2 hours per week in shopping for and preparing your food will make or break your ability to live the Power Foods Lifestyle and maximize your health.

Choose the time of week that you will do your food prep. When you consistently prepare your food each week at the same time, you form a habit and set yourself up for success each week. Decide whether a 1x/week prep is more efficient for you than a 2x/week prep. What time of day? Early mornings? Late evenings? Establish it, then stick with it!

Prep meal components but not the full meal, unless you genuinely will not have any time at all to do more than grab a tupperware and run out the door! Prep food components that can be used in several different meals.

Begin prepping the food that will take the longest to cook. This will help you to finish your food prep around the same time. Multi-task: while something is in the crockpot or oven, chop veggies or cook something on the stovetop.

Try to plan for your week using a mixture of delicious Power Foods Lifestyle recipes that require preparing, and fast and easy Power Foods Lifestyle meals that you can grab on the fly and put together. This will give you a good variety to enjoy during the week and make this lifestyle possible for you to maintain as well.

Make food prep fun! Spend time with a friend of significant other and encourage each other in your healthy goals. Listen to a Body Buddies podcast episode or YouTube training video. Throw on some tunes and dance around! Make your food prep something to look forward to, not something you dread!
