Searching for Power?

A Letter to my Body Buds:
I often find myself diving into the waters of a philosphical moment, swimming through the waters of deep quotes and thoughts that then leave me gasping for application and understanding. One of these quotes was this:
"Positive attitude gives you power over your cicumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you."
Now, you may be one who hears something like that and almost sneers at the cheesiness of such a phrase. I might even do the same if I didn't grasp the full reality of how true this statement is.
So, if a positive attitude gives us power, is it rightful to say a negative attitude gives us weakness? I definitely think so. When we choose negativity and pessimism in any situation, we set ourselves up as victims. We eliminate hope and light. We enclose ourseles in capes of darkness that clouds our vision and binds our actions. This choice of attitude affects those around us as well, and many people shy away as they don't want to be brought low too.
On the flipside, choosing to have a positive attitude opens our hearts and minds to hope--we accept that there are possibilities out there. Though we might not yet see them, or know just how things will work out, we invite change as we open ourselves to attract positive energy and light. Where the negativity repels people, positivity invites people. It shelters them from their own dark storms of the mind. So I think it's safe to say that a positive attitude not only gives ourselves power, but it gives others power as well.
With power, we have the confidence of controlling our actions and our behavior. With power, we can take control. So let's discuss the application of applying the power that comes from a positive attitude to your efforts to lose weight and master your mind. Heavens, this is not an easy task. It takes a great amount of time and diligence, and that alone can be great enough reason to say it's impossible. You may watch others all around you go through the proceess, but for you, it's just too much to ask.
But is it?
I have worked with enough people to help them change their minds and their bodies using The Power Foods Lifestyle that I firmly believe each and every person has the ability to take control of their health. It is the ATTITUDE that triggers the event, the event being ignorance, rationalization, defeat, or effort to change.
Every single behavior we have in our life stems from an attitude. You have the ability within you to begin caring more about what goes in your body. You have the ability within you to learn to cook if you can't cook, or find new foods you enjoy. You have the ability within you to say 'no' to foods that you normallly would cram own your throat. You have the ability within you to put on your workout clothes and find time in your daily 24 hours (we all have only 24) to pay your dues in physical activity.
But that behavior comes from the POWER of a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Without hope that you can achieve this goal of living a healthier lifestyle and losing weight, you won't. But if you can even beging to hope, begin to dream, begin to believe that you can create the better version of you, then you are already halfway there.
I'm cheering you on whether you are doing this on your own with my free resources, the 8-week Challenge, or are a one-on-one client. Remember, I know you can do this. Until you believe it yourself, I'll lend you some of my power through a positive attitude. And then, when you have your own power, lend it to someone else to help them change their life.
Take it one meal, one workout, and one day at a time.
Love your bud,
Kristy Jo
