Dear Body Buds,

I am so pleased with my friend, Kari, and how she did in continually focusing on changing her mindset and nutrition/exercise habits to be more strategic! She is such a fighter and I know will continue to blaze her way in this journey to self-improvement as she has done! What a good friend of mine she has become and I am happy to see her changes!

How have you grown and changed through the process of your training?

I believe I have grown and progressed in all aspects of the Power foods lifestyle - my mind, body, and nutrition have all improved for the better. I learned new things about myself and although I did experience some setbacks, my coach worked with me to identify the triggers and ways to problem solve and avoid them in the future. She realized that I was human and we all make mistakes, never made me seem like a failure for not meeting a requirement or not sticking to a meal plan 100%. I have definitely become a stronger person physically and mentally. She helped me see that I have progressed even when I didn't feel I had.

What was the most important principle you learned?

That one needs to listen to the mind in our efforts to live a healthier lifestyle, you can eat healthy and workout as much as you want, but your mind also needs to be in the right place!

What would you do differently if you could start over from Day One?

Realize that it is important to prepare your meal plan meals and workouts in order to successfully do them - I found that with my crazy schedule it was much easier to have all my food prepped and ready to go - made life so much less stressful.

What piece of advice would you give to someone who was just beginning their training?

Be honest and open with your coach - they are there to help you and not to judge you! Clearly identify your goals for each aspect of training and work hard to set weekly goals - they don't have to be complex, just simple goals to work on each week.

Just as Kari has done, I hope all of our Body Buds out there can keep striving for self-improvement through our strategies we teach through the Power Foods Lifestyle. When a coach might be helpful, please consider a member of our coaching team.

Kari, keep going! You're amazing!

Love your bud,

Kristy Jo
