Stephanie Schmid Drops Two Pants Sizes through Nutrition Coaching!

Dear Body Buds,
I would like to share with you a letter I recieved from one of my amazing clients who just finished her 12-week nutrition coaching program. I share this letter with permission.

Dear Kristy,
I just want to thank you so much for all you have done for me these past 12 weeks of nutrition coaching!
I really came to you wanting to focus on losing my stomach pooch and truly came away with so much more! I have exercised consistently and diligently 6 days/week for about 15 years. I have never been on a diet and because of my great height (5'11") I can easily carry 5-10 lbs extra with no problem and still be in a great weight range for my height. I didn't consider myself overweight when I came to you, just wanting to loose the stomach pooch. Previously, I had tried to make healthy choices in my eating and I haven't drank soda for a number of years. I thought I could just do more ab exercises to get rid of the stomach pooch. After more exercises didn't eliminate the pooch, I had pretty much decided that's just the way my body now looked because of having children.
I read more on the internet that truly the food we eat actually really impacts the stomach pooch. I knew that if I went to you and hired you as a nutrition coach I would have to commit. While I was nervous about committing, the truth is that I knew I was super committed to exercise and so mentally, I could do this.
I so appreciated your nutrition coaching! It wasn't a diet. It wasn't starving myself. I eat every 2 1/2-3 hours. The difference is WHAT I'm eating. Wow - I never ate this much protein or veggies before working with you. I also now know that my body needs/craves 1 gallon plus of water/day which I never gave it before! Your book is so helpful! Your coaching even more helpful! Not only did you provide me with meal plans for each week, focused on my goals, but you also responded to my questions and coached me through making the changes. You walked me through the meal plan and made sure I understood the carbs and the fats and the combos you put together!

After 12 weeks of coaching, I truly am educated! I can make good choices and eat the power foods lifestyle when I travel personally or for work and when I am living my life - including going out to eat with family and friends! You have empowered me! And, through this process, I have more energy and am running faster in my workouts! I know that you could have even helped me more if I would have worked with you as both a fitness and nutrition coach, but I wasn't interested in changing my workouts and I truly wanted to see what difference food made in my life. I feel I've had that perfect experiment. Same daily exercise - totally different eating! And, the results are phenomenal! I have dropped to the weight I was at 20 years ago before I had children (I had no idea such a thing was possible!). I also have dropped 2 full dress sizes and need new clothes! I am committed to the power foods lifestyle and the true health benefits that the power foods lifestyle brings me beyond just dropping unneeded weight.
Thank you for coaching and training me to make better eating choices for life! I recommend Body Buddies coaching to everyone!

I then asked Stephanie to share some advice with anyone who was looking to make a change and begin the Power Foods Lifestyle. Here is her response:
"My advice for someone beginning their journey with PFL:
The Power Foods Lifestyle is not a quick fix. The Power Foods Lifestyle is a complete change in how you eat and the food combinations you choose. The first week is the most challenging as your body adjusts to a completely different way of eating. It is worth the commitment and focus the first weeks to read the material, ask Kristy Jo questions and internalize the value of eating what your body wants and drinking a gallon of water every day. Your body will adjust and it is so interesting how much your body WANTS the protein, veggie, healthy carbs and fats as well as the water. It is worth the difficult first weeks to get to the point where your body really operates so much better having the good foods it desperately needs. My advice – stick to it. Don’t give up! It is totally worth it for the added energy and health you’ll have in the long run (on top of looking and feeling great)!"
It was such an honor to work with Stephanie and I am so proud of her for not only making the change herself, but positively impacting so many of her family and friends to get them started on the lifestyle as well. It is amazing what the power of one can do in changing people's lives. Keep up the great work, Steph!
