Dear Body Buds,
I hope you have learned at least a few things from me in the information I present through my books, podcasts, and social media feeds. I hope you have learned to look beyond the hype and sensationalism to ask the right questions . Doing so will help you determine for yourself if there is validity to a claim. So what should you be asking about ANY claim, particularly in regards to changing the body? Let's use Garcinia Cambogia to learn this important lesson.
1. What academic studies have been conducted on the topic? If you're only looking at mainstream "health" websites or magazines, you need to remember that these companies are strategically choosing topics of hype and sensationalism that get you to read their information and purchase their products. STOP trusting the sources that pop up in the top 5 of a random Google search (remember your high school and college English courses? You should have learned how to filter through the crap "science" out there ;) were you sleeping? hahahah). Instead, look for any site that ends in .edu which indicates that the topic is covered more scientifically. For example, click here to learn the conclusion of a study that was performed in 1998 (this is not the first time Garcinia Cambogia has reared its head in the sensationalism of weight loss frenzy) and came up as NEGATIVE. It did NOT produce weight loss effects. This study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. If a study has been published in a Journal of this type, it has been peer-reviewed by professionals to catch possible errors and flaws in the study. 2. Where are the majority of the success stories coming from? Continuing the point from above, if you're believing the information you read on eHow, Women's or Men's Health, WebMD, or any "fitness guru" who happens to have top SEO to pull their site up in the first page of a Google search, you may want to reference the sources they cite (if they're wise enough to cite any). 3. How can this product do more beyond what the FOUNDATION of all change (sound nutrition like The Power Foods Lifestyle and strategic exercise like I prescribe) can cause? I can't tell you how many people I want to wring by the neck because they swing from diet to diet and pill to product in a desperation attempt to FIX THEIR BODY PROBLEMS. The answers are simple, my friends. They really are. I know The Power Foods Lifestyle is not the easiest answer. It is not the quick fix with little effort. But I swear on my life--it is the real fix. I have watched thousands of people change their life and their relationship with food through the strategic eating patterns and principles I teach. I know it's hard to do. That's why I coach people through the process. I would love to be your #1 cheerleadear. My programs are completely affordable and I offer payment plans. If you're not interested in coaching, I sure hope you are taking advantage of my free resources to learn the truth about mastering your mind and your body--for GOOD. I'm here for you. I speak truth, plain and simple. I don't lie. I am blunt. Sometimes, I lack tact. But you can take my word at face value. I do what I do because I love people.
I love the journey you make. I love watching change occur in your life. THIS is what brings me joy every day. This gives me a full life. Thanks for being here and allowing me to teach you as I continue onward in my own journey with my mind, food, exercise, and how they all sculpt the body. Love your bud,
Kristy Jo
P.S. In case you are still confused, NO, I do not recommend Garcinia Cambogia for anyone to use as a weight loss supplement.
