Shelly Ellison takes 1st place in Novice Figure--NPC Utah

Dear Body Buds,

I am delighted to share with you the progress of a very dear client who began her journey with me just a little under a year ago. Her name is Shelly Ellison of Las Vegas, Nevada. As a mom of three, she found herself wanting to improve and begin taking care of herself. After she and I met while she was doing the makeup of another one of my clients last November, she said she was ready to begin the Power Foods journey.

We now laugh as I openly have told her I doubted her sincerity in committing to the program and my training.

Boy, oh boy, have I ever been wrong.

Shelly finished her lifestyle training first, but then she was hooked. She began entertaining the thought of competing, but almost as a joke or an afterthought. But then it happened . . . she committed and we did a 10-week prep to get her ready for the NPC Utah October Show this past Saturday where she wowed the crowd with her well-devloped and beautfiully on point physique.

I sat in the audience with tears in my eyes. Yes, her physique came in beautifully. But I have been privileged to see what others have not--the journey of her heart and her mind. Let me just tell you-- it's a beautiful thing to sit where I sit, in the coach's seat, and watch the changes of a person's belief in themself.

Absolutely incredible.

Shells, your trophy is wonderful, but you earned that trophy LONG before you ever stepped on that stage. THAT is the journey I hope you remember and cherish. I know I always will.

"My experience with competition prep and the competition itself was such a positive, uplifting experience for me. I committed to the discipline and found a coach I could trust which made the journey smooth and very calm. Taking control over your mind is the real challenge, but once obtained the inner strength shines through on the outside. Body Buddies focuses on just that...mastering the mind. I have never been more proud of myself and honored to be one of Kristy's clients. Her knowledge is powerful and constantly evolving. I'm grateful to be considered a member of the Body Buddies family and would recommend competition prep for anyone that is ready to fight for themselves and grow a deep appreciation and respect for our wonderful body.
